After reading the book 'the freelance manifesto' by Joey Korenman, I became very enthusiastic about the school of Motion so that I registered for the winter '22 edition of Animation Bootcamp. The reason for this was that I wanted to gain more experience with After Effects with regards to motion graphics. This course is not necessarily about animating in Adobe After Effects, although this is "the weapon of choice.” This twelve-week course focuses in particular on the Animation Principles such as: Timing & Spacing, Follow through, Anticipation, Over shoot, Reinforcement, Oscillation, Secondary Animation and then to break these rules. These principles are not limited to After Effects, but can be applied in all 2D and 3D Animation software as well as old school hand drawn animation. This course has brought me a mountain of knowledge and a big fat suitcase of inspiration and motivation as well as a nice "reel," which consists of almost all of the homework assignments and a final assigment (Be The IceSculptor).
